NEWS

5.28.10

hey everyone. today i have boxed up a few orders and did a little counting as well. i'm now currently down to five copies of the taxes in texas on orange vinyl. for those of you nerdy collectors that may want to get a copy place your orders now! first come first served. i'd also like to thank the nerdy collectors that already placed double orders, we really appreciate it. i got a few things in mind i'd like to do for future releases but of course nothing is in stone. i'll post it here when it goes down.

3.29.10

greetings. first round of orders have shipped and should have or should be arriving now. i recently received a couple complaints about digital downloads not properly working on the site. due to the hacker activity on my server from a few weeks ago a couple of things went temporarily haywire. all redeemable download issues should be sorted out, but should you face any difficulty please don't hesitate to contact me.

everything sucks will be playing with iron chic and thirsty this friday in lindenhurst, ny. lps will be available. record release show/shows are being discussed and hopefully planned for the end of april. they may or may not include boxing matches between siblings. stay tuned. another tune has been uploaded from the taxes in texas called "the riceman cometh" - check it out. more soon.

3.11.10

yo, what the fuck?! some hacker chump hacked my online shopping cart last night and forced my site down... shit is insane! i don't know really what's going on still because i only found out about 9 hours ago so i'm hoping everything is intact. i'll be sending out an email to customers who may have received spam or anything like that but dag! what an annoying time for this to happen. please continue to order the new everything sucks lp through the temporary paypal cart i have set up. i should have these things sort out this weekend and i sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

3.09.10

this just in the everything sucks record is finally available! here is a statement:

everything sucks just put out a record called "the taxes in texas." they recorded it in their basement. don fury mastered it in either a much nicer basement, a living room with a dartboard in it, or a converted pool house, or wherever the hell don fury masters things these days. they had a hell of a time getting it out, but it's finally here. they've been a band for a couple of years and although they took their name from a wonderful record by the descendents, they really don't sound much like them. also, despite their roots in and affinity for a certain type of hardcore music from long island, they don't really consider themselves part of any one scene. they feel they get enough labels and stamps put on them at their day jobs and in their day lives so they don't want to add another one.

this outsider sort of approach and mentality has drawn comparisons to numerous revolution summer bands, some other bands who played at abc no rio in the early 90's, and some other bands who like using the word "post" before writing a type of music. they like a lot of bands, and sound like a few others, but at the end of the day they're on their own, sucking the cock of defeat.

the record itself is a joint release between just a audial and dead broke records. it has been pressed on 100 copies of clear orange vinyl, and 150 copies of black vinyl. it features nine songs with subject matter ranging from being a middle class white suburban weirdo to quitting your upper retail management position to bum around all summer selling old records to realizing you're on the dark side of twenty five without a thing to show for it. oh wait. that's all the same subject. the secret fifth member of everything sucks posed for the insert photo of this record. the first fifty copies sold will feature his autograph.

pre-order now, records will ship in the next week!

2.23.10

4.06.09

the time has finally come to announce the capital 'blind faith' 7" - this is something i've been looking forward to for a while now. i reached out to my homeboy dave v at iron pier to help me out with this and we couldn't be more pumped. there are three colors of vinyl but they are first come, first served. more details in the releases section!

3.02.09

up now in the releases section is the second single from youthviolence for FREE. we may do a bunch of cassettes, but for now it's available as a pdf/mp3 set. faster, driving songs that are a perfect pairing to the more mid tempo stuff on the "kafir" single. some of you may have heard these songs on a tour cassette, but now you don't have to rely on your old tape deck... go download it now!

exciting news to announce shortly as far as other releases go. the cat will be out of the bag soon. check back.

2.01.09

coming up is deathcycle's last show in brooklyn. youthviolence is going to be opening that show so get out early. updates on the way.

12.09.08

youthviolence's "kafir" single is now available in the releases section. heavier than osmium, gatefold layout, colored vinyl that only appears under torture. pick up a copy, limited to 500.

11.30.08

the turncoat cassette is now available, if you haven't heard it it's streaming in the releases section. shit rips. pick it up for $6 bucks postage paid. there are some murmurs of a last show for these guys but at this point it's nothing more than a rumor.

the youthviolence "kafir" tests have come back and sound really sick. they should be in our hands within a week or two. first press limited to 500 on color. youthviolence will be hitting albany and boston this coming weekend, hopefully we'll have the 7" for these shows, but if not we'll have a limited edition cassette for these shows. check the details.
